How To Flash Stock ROM On Your Device

Step 1: Download the stock ROM zip file given above and extract it on your computer. You will find SP flash tool and Android scatter file after extracting.

Step 2: Now download Tecno W5 Lite USB driver and install it on your computer. In case if you have already installed USB driver on your computer skip this step.

Step 6: Now, click on “scatter-loading” button in the download tab.

Step 9: Next, connect your Tecno W5 Lite Android device to your computer through original USB cable (without battery – if it is battery removable) and press volume up or volume down button.

Step 10: The flashing process will begin momentarily, and it will get completed in a minute or two. Once it is over, you will see the “Download OK” green ring in SP Flash Tool.

Step 11: Now, close SP Flash tool on your computer and unplug your smartphone.

How to root the Tecno L8 Lite


  1. Dump your firmware in scatter format using Miracle Box @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-13347.html
  2. Download SuperSU 2.78 @ [ Login / Register to download free] and save to both phone storage and SD card
  3. Create a new folder named Hovatek on your PC
  4. Copy preloader.bin from your Miracle Box backup into the Hovatek folder
  5. Download TWRP for Tecno L8 Lite ported by Team Hovatek @ [ Login / Register to download free]
  6. Copy the TWRP recovery.bin and scatter file from the TWRP zip file downloaded above into the Hovatek folder, making peloader.bin, scatter file and recovery.bin (TWRP) in the folder
  7. Flash the preloader.bin and recovery.bin using Miracle Box @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-14106.html
  8. Boot the phone into recovery mode (Vol up + Power) after flashing
  9. In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow TWRP modify the system partition, tap KEEP READ ONLY
  10. In TWRP recovery, tap Install
  11. Navigate to the location of the SuperSU.zip and select it
  12. Swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip and wait till flashing is complete
  13. Reboot the phone normally
  14. Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai..heck&hl=en
